Currently Available Positions:

Facility Manager required for our Self Storage portfolio

We manage a well established Self Storage portfolio and require a dependable, honest, long term Facility Manager. A strong management/retail sales background preferred. Previous property maintenance is also an asset. Positive leadership, professionalism and an enthusiastic work ethic is a must. Multitasking is required and organization, time management and prioritizing will be key. You will be accountable for goal setting, staffing, communications, leasing units, budgets, and providing quality customer service.

Some duties include:

  • Leading a professional and positive team environment at all times
  • Accountable for maintaining a balanced monthly budget
  • Implementing and contributing to the Marketing Plan of the company
  • Managing all aspects of staffing, hiring, training, scheduling, terminating and payroll processing
  • Overseeing all maintenance/contract work and all aspects of security/safety for the facility and its customers
  • Ensuring impeccable appearance of staff, office, landscaping, buildings etc. at all times by daily site inspections and janitorial/maintenance record keeping
  • Profitably providing quality customer service including leasing of units and accounting for any rent variances
  • Balancing of cash float, petty cash and bank deposits and their records
  • Responsible for office/facility expenses when purchasing and ordering supplies
  • Ensuring that all Labour Standards and Work Safe practices are being adhered to

The successful candidate will receive extended health and dental benefits as well as compensated monthly with a cash sales bonus based on targets achieved.

Building Managers

Crosby manages a range of buildings that require different levels of caretaking. Successful candidates for these positions are placed with Strata Corporations after rigorous interview processes handled by the Senior Strata Managers and New Project Manager. The positions range from Off-Site Caretaker to Head Concierge.

  • Off-Site Caretaker: The Off-Site Caretaker (a person or a couple) attends to the building five days a week to meet with contractors, clean the building, administer the key fobs and attend to emergencies.
  • Live-In Caretaker: The Live-In Caretaker (a person or a couple) live in the building in a subsidized suite and provide the building with administration, cleaning, contractor liaison, security and attendance at emergencies.
  • Live-In Building Manager: In larger buildings the Live-In Building Manager provides all of the services of the Live-In Caretaker except that janitorial support is provided for cleaning. This position is more administrative in nature.
  • Concierge: Concierge staff are not involved in cleaning. They manage a building with a focus on security of the Residents so that more of their time is spent on security checks and providing the Residents with additional hospitality services.
  • Head Concierge: The Head Concierge manages the building and hires and manages all Concierge staff. The Head Concierge and the Strata Property Manager act as a team to provide complete coverage for all aspects of the buildings maintenance.
